Shanghai Grand Stage is located in the southwest part of Shanghai and faces Huating Hotel. Its original name is Shanghai Stadium. Shanghai Stadium is one of the large-scale stadiums in China.

It was used in 1975. The main stadium is a rotunda with the height of 33 meters. Shanghai Grand Stage was reconstructed in 1999 on the basis of the original equipments. Housetop net-span diameter is 110 meters. It could cover 8,000 people at the same time. The arena square is around 1250 square meters. The large-scale art performance can be shown for 8000 or 10,000 audiences at the same time. If for passengers watching sport match, the number could be 12000. Meanwhile it could be used for 5000 or 10000 member conference. It is the first theater-style multi-functional indoor stadium   

The stage-framework (curtain) is 16 meters high, 28 or 42 meters wide. There are 7 groups large mechanical stage with 300 square meters on the stage. The delicate structure and the well equipment of this mechanical stage guarantee the diversities of stage effectiveness and provide enough imagination space for audiences.
